Enabling Auto-Generated Review Responses

Marqii’s Auto-Generate Response feature helps you save time by using AI to draft tailored replies to your reviews based on your specific brand voice. By automating the drafting process, you can maintain a consistent online presence and respond to customers faster across multiple platforms.

‼️Note: Enabling this feature will automatically generate a response suggestion for reviews that meet your criteria. Responses are not posted automatically; you will still need to review the draft and click Reply to publish it.‼️


How to Enable Auto-Generated Responses

Follow these steps to turn on auto-generation for a specific Review Prompt.

  1. Log in to your Marqii dashboard and select Review Prompts from the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Click on the Name of the prompt you wish to edit, or create a new one.

  3. Scroll down to the Auto Generate Responses section at the bottom of the page.

  4. Check the box for Enable automatic response generation.

  5. Define your criteria using the dropdown menus (see the Configuration Options table below for details).

  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

 


Configuration Options

You can customize exactly which reviews should trigger an automated draft. This allows you to prioritize specific platforms or star ratings.

Description

Publishers

Select specific sites (e.g., Google, Yelp, Facebook) or choose All Publishers.

Review Ratings

Choose which star ratings (1–5) or recommendation types should trigger a draft.

Review Comments

Choose to generate drafts for All reviews, Comments only, or reviews with No comment.

Save response as a draft

When checked, the review status will be changed to "Draft Ready" with the response field for you to approve or edit before sending.  If this is not checked, the review status will remain as "Awaiting Reply" with the generated response still available to view.

 


Tips for Better Responses

To ensure your auto-generated drafts sound authentic and professional, review the following sections within your Review Prompt settings:

  • Custom Instructions: Provide specific context about your brand. For example, "Always mention our seasonal specials" or "Keep responses under three sentences."

  • Tone Options: You can set different tones for Positive, Neutral, and Negative reviews (e.g., "Professional and Friendly" for positive, "Casual and Trustworthy" for negative).

  • Signatures: Add a consistent closing, such as "Best, [Manager Name]" or "The [Business Name] Team," to every response automatically.
