Review Notifications

Review notifications allow you to receive notifications for reviews based on a set of criteria. If the criteria for your review notification is met, you will be sent an email to notify you about your reviews. This allows you to take more of a hands-on approach when it comes to managing your reviews.

Creating Review Notifications

To create a review notification:

  1. Click on your username on the top right of the screen 
  2. Click on Account Settings

     
  3. In the Review Notifications section, click on Add Notification

This will bring you to the Create Review Notifications page, from here you can set the criteria for your review notifications.

General Settings

With these settings you're able to set up a name and description for your notifications as well as, the frequency of when you would like to receive these notifications.

Frequency - this will be how often you will receive your review notification.

  • Immediately - receive your review notification as soon as a filter criteria is met.  This will send a review notification for each review that fits the filter criteria. 
  • Daily - receive your review notification daily.
  • Weekly - receive your review notification once a week on a specific day (Monday - Sunday).
  • Monthly - receive your review notification once a month on a specific day (1st-31st).

Notification Name - this is the name of your review notification.

Description - this is a description of the notification. It will be used to help you remember what this notification is for.

Note: The Notification Name and Description fields are required to save your review notification.

 

Filters

Within the criteria for your review notification you are able to set multiple filters. This allows you to set up notifications for reviews that have specific ratings that were received from specific locations, that mention specific key words, eg: notifications for 2 star reviews for your downtown location that mentions the Chicken Sandwich.

The filters you can mix and match to set up your criteria are:

  • Locations - choose to include or not include locations from your notification.
  • Folders - choose to include or not include folders from your notification.
  • Ratings - choose the star ratings you would like in your review notification (1 star-5 star). From here you also have the Greater Than, Greater Than or Equal, Equal, Less Than or Equal, and Less Than options for your star ratings.
  • Recommended - choose to include reviews with Recommended or Not Recommended ratings in your notification. This is relevant for Facebook reviews.
  • Publishers - choose to include or not include publishers in your notification.
  • Content - choose to receive notifications for reviews based on phrases or words used in the the review. 
    eg: if you input the phrase "unhappy" or "felt sick", then only reviews with the "unhappy" or "felt sick" phrase will be included in your review notification.
    You also have the ability to set this filter for "Contains" or "Similar Match". "Contains" searches for an exact match, while "Similar Match" looks for closely matching text, useful for finding results with potential misspellings, though with less accuracy.
  • Has Draft - choose to include only reviews with or without pending drafts (reviews that are in "Draft Ready" status).

You can add filters by clicking on the "+ Add Filter" dropdown button.

 You can remove filters by clicking the trash can icon next to them.

Notes: To save your review notification, the Locations, Folders, Publishers, and Content filter fields must not be empty.

 

Email Content

Within the settings for your review notification, you are able to customize the Subject and the Body of the emails for your review notifications, or choose the default Subject and Body. 

 Note: The Subject and Body fields must be filled in order to save your Review Notification.

 

Recipients

In the recipients section you are able to add:

  • Specific Users - Recipients who have a user profile in your Marqii account. These users will receive emailed review notifications that include a link to view the Reviews Monitoring page in your dashboard.
     
  • External Recipients - Recipients who do not have a user profile in your Marqii account. These recipients will not receive the link to view the Reviews Monitoring page in your dashboard.

Notes: The Specific Users and/or External Recipients fields must be filled in order to save your review notification.

 

Review Notification Email

The review notification email will arrive from "notifications@marqii.com" with the subject line based on what was input in the "Subject" field for the notification.

The email will display the following:

  • 1 - The subject that was input into the "Subject" field.
  • 2 - The body text that was input in the "Body" field for your notification.
  • 3 - The review notification name that was input in the "Notification Name" field for your notification.
  • 4 - The description that was input in the "Description" field for your notification.
  • 5 - A button to view the reviews within your Marqii dashboard if the recipient is a user in your Marqii account. External Recipients will not receive this button.
  • Last 20 reviews that fit the notification criteria, or 1 review if the frequency for the notification is set to "Immediately".
  • An attached downloadable .CSV file containing all of the relevant reviews for your review notification.

 

Editing Review Notifications

To edit a review notification:

  1. Click on your username on the top right of the screen 
  2. Click on Account Settings

     
  3. In the Review Notifications section, click on the ellipses (...) next to the review notification you wish to edit
  4. Click on Edit

This will take you to the settings for the review notification, where you are able to make changes. 

Clicking the Save Notification button will save the new changes and bring you back to the account settings page.

Clicking the Cancel button will cancel any changes that were made and bring you back to the account settings page.

 

Deleting a Review Notification

To delete a review notification:

  1. Click on your username on the top right of the screen 
  2. Click on Account Settings

     
  3. In the Review Notifications section, click on the ellipses (...) next to the review notification you wish to delete
  4. Click on Delete

     
  5. You will see a confirmation pop up, click Delete to delete your review notification or Cancel to cancel the deletion process.
