How to Create a Menu

This guide will walk you through the process of creating a new menu, adding sections and items, and assigning the menu to a location within the Marqii dashboard.

Step 1: Create a New Menu

1. Click on the Menus tab on the left side of your account dashboard.

2. Click on the Create Menu button.

3. On the Create Your Menu page, enter the Menu Name (required) and optionally add a Menu Alias, Cuisine, Description, and visibility setting.

4. Click Save to create the menu.

Step 2: Assign the Menu to a Location

1. From the Menus tab, click on the menu you wish to assign to a location.

2. In the Menu Details page, click on Edit assigned locations.

3. In the Assign this menu to more locations drawer, use the Select Location dropdown to select the location(s) you would like to assign the menu to.

4. Click Save to confirm the assignment.

Step 3: Create Sections for Your Menu

1. Click on the Menus tab on the left side of your account dashboard.

2. Click on the menu you wish to add a section to.

3. Click on the Create Section button.

4. In the Create Section form, enter the Section Name (required) and optionally add a Section Alias, Description, and visibility setting.

5. Click Save to create the section.

Step 4: Add Items to Your Sections

1. Click on the Menus tab on the left side of your account dashboard.

2. Click on the menu you wish to add a section to.

3. Hover over the section you wish to add an item to and click Edit.

4. Click on the Create Item button.

5. In the 'Create Item' drawer, enter the Item Name (required) and optionally add Price, Item Image,  Item Alias, Description, and visibility setting.

6. Click Save to create the item.

Step 4: Add Choices to your Menu

1. Click on the Menus tab on the left side of your account dashboard.

2. Click on the menu that contains the item you wish to add choices to.

3. Hover over the section that contains the item you wish to add choices to.

4. Click the expand arrow to expand the section and view the items.

5. Hover over the item and click Edit.

6. In the item drawer, hover over the modifier you wish to add a choice to and click Edit.

7. Click on the Create Choice button.

8. Enter the Choice Name and Price.

9. Click Save to create the choice.

Additional Tips

• Editing Item Descriptions: To edit an item's description, navigate to the Items tab, click on the item, and update the Description field in the Item Details page.

• Editing Item Prices: To edit an item's price, navigate to the Items tab, click on the item, and update the Price field in the Item Details page.
